If democracy is a goal of the L.A. nations, what does a nation have to have
in order to achieve this goal?
The nations have to avoid a tyranny or dictatorship. Also, the nation needs to stay
away from communism because that is what brings problems to a nation.
Why did the United States get involved in Cuba?
The United States had gotten involved with Cuba because of their high production
of Sugar. They had such a large production and most of it went straight to the
United States. In this day and age, we are not involved with Cuba because of their
ties with the communist party.

A banana republic is a country that does not have a strong government and
instead, is controlled by a company and used for its production of a certain item.
The name is called what it is because bananas are the main item that is produced
by these companies.

How did the Cold War affect Latin America? Why did the United States get
involved?
The countries in Latin America had a choice to either join the communists or to fight
against them and there were no other options. The United States got involved to
support the countries that did not join the communist party so that communism
wouldnt spread because communist party is known by the US as an evil force.
What is the difference between left and right wing? And why is it
confusing?
Left wing government cares more about the people and believe that the
government should support the citizens. The right wing government is smaller and
the decisions are normally made by a few people.

Nations that want to make the change to a democracy, there are some things
that they need to obtain to achieve this. They need a leader that is willing to make
the change to become a democratic nation. Many leaders will not want to change
into a democracy and will even kill innocent civilians in order to prevent this from
happening. Something for the people of a nation to note is that it is not going o be
the smoothest transition and there will be some hardships and struggles on the way
to a smooth fluent democracy. Many nations will want to become a democracy but
will need one of the most important things which they may not have: money. Money
is a centerpiece to changing a democracy and it can be used for buildings,
advertisements and new positions. These are some things that I feel go into making
a democracy.
