Re: Letter of Recommendation for Ashley Monden I am very fortunate to be able to work with Ashley at Aiea Elementary School as a part time teacher. We interact daily at work and I admire Ashleys commitment and enthusiasm towards supporting her one-to-one student as an Educational Assistant for Special Education. She came to this school with prior experience in helping autistic children and worked for many years in the charter school setting. Over the years she has acquired the skill sets and hands-on experience that are important in the foundations of a special education teacher. She has utilized her knowledge base and skills with her student and I am a witness to how much of a positive impact it has made in her students progress. Her student has made great strides academically, socially, and behaviorally. This is indicative of the wonderful rapport she has established with her student. Her character and professionalism are one of the many attributes that she holds that assure me that she will make a wonderful Special Education teacher. She is very caring, patient, and selfless, which are all attributes that I find are especially needed in this field. She provides an encouraging and never give up attitude that shines not only through herself, but through her student as well. She is a positive influence to all those she works with and many of the other students at the school. Her dedication to doing her best is something I know that Ashley will carry over as a Special Education teacher. She has the drive to take on a teaching position and with all that she has done for her one-to-one student, I know that she will make an even greater impact in her own classroom. As with any profession, it is important to continually grow and aspire to learn more in order to meet the needs of the current working environment. Ashley exemplifies this quality because she is pursuing her Masters degree in Special Education in order to achieve her goal in further helping special needs children. She is invested in a field that always puts the best interest of the child in mind. She is a dedicated worker and this is shown through her years of involvement in our states educational programs. She is very driven to better herself and eager to expand her academic background as well as gain new experiences in the special educational field. She is always discussing with fellow teachers and specialists creative ideas/suggestions that could be implemented to better support students. She is a team player and always strives to work with others in order to do what is best for the students and the school. I value her insight and have always been encouraged after talking with her about what other strategies I could implement with my own students. I am confident that Ashley will excel and be a valuable asset to the states Special Education Department. Her professionalism, work ethic, educational background, and work experiences deserve the greatest consideration for a Special Education teaching position.
