Crude by Rail Emergency Response Training

WHO SHOULD ATTEND: Emergency Responders, Fire Departments, EMTs, Police, Safety Managers
TOPICS: Rail Safety, Emergency Response and CPC 1232 Tank Cars: Experienced professionals will
provide an overview of rail safety, and describe proper response actions for a crude oil emergency.
Students will learn about rail and chemical industry resources that are available to help, and the
steps for safely assessing an emergency situation. The 2012 ERG will be used to determine proper
protective actions for various scenarios, based on real world incidents. The anatomy of traditional
Tank cars will be examined.
