2. Now you will analyze how you improved upon your strengths and
weaknesses based on your scores for each category, and then set specific
goals for this summer.
A. Strengths:

Choose two of the categories in which you scored the

highest and explain how you improved or developed a new strength
that you did not have before. Do not simply repeat the wording from
the rubric. Be specific!

1. Rhythmic and pitch accuracy is one of the major things I improved

on because I use to get really confused on it and because of counting
better I have improved on my rhythmic and pitch accuracy.
2. I have improved also imoroved in sight reading because i learned
everything is not going to be on papper and you may have to play
what you hear.

B. Areas in need of Improvement:

Based on your scores in each

category, now identify areas in which you need to improve upon.
Explain in detail how you will work to improve in these areas over the
summer. Be extremely specific.

1. Technique is one thing that I need to work on and over the summer
and I will do that with a lot of practice .
2. Tone is also another place I need to improve on because I have
notice if I get lost in the music and I'm playing the loudest it obvious
I've made a mistake. I can work on that with more practice .
3. Write a reflection based on how you have progressed from the beginning of
the year until now. Explain what you would do differently. How would you

change or increase your practice habits? Be very specific and detailed. At

least 1-page typed & double space

Reflection
In the beginning of the year i came into a class with many other students
and many other violas . I knew that I had a few strategies and techinques
up my sleeve but not as many as the first chairs. I knew to get to that
point I needed to practice much more ,seeing them play is amazing ! And
just from watching I learned many new things like how to move when playing
and not just stay stiff, you have to feel the music , and how to move up and
the finger board. I knew that with tuning someone's not gonna always tune
my instrument , I always thought what if I go solo who's gonna tune it then,
and here it is the end of the year I've learned to tune and know when to
turn pegs and things .My pitch and rhythmic
Accuracy has also improved a lot because in the beginning of the year we
started off playing many challenging pieces and it was sometimes hard to
get a hold of the rhythm but as I listen to the music and try to play along
,it has helped me improve.
