Leaders Formation

CFC Singles for Christ truly is the future CFC. We evangelize not only to bring Christ to the
world today but into the future. From builders, we raise our Singles for Christ to be lifestyle
leaders, leaders who will be future family evangelizers.
To be effective in the service, SFC needs to train and grow to be able to respond to the needs of
the times. Today, more challenges are rising, threatening the very life that God gave us. This is
the time, more than ever, for SFC to stand up and take on adult roles.
As SFC leaders serving in varying capacities, we believe that:

SFC is CFC. Although SFC is a ministry in itself, catering to a particular group (i.e.,
single men and women), it is one with CFC. It supports and takes as its own the
vision and mission, directions, and thrusts of CFC. It lives out the culture of CFC.

SFC is the future CFC. Being the eldest of the Family Ministries, we take seriously
our role as the future CFC who will carry on the work entrusted to it by God. We take
this to heart and prepare ourselves even now for the work we will take on in the
future.

SFC is our Legacy. We also take responsibility for SFC, both its present and its
future. We value it as a gift the Lord has given to us to support us in our faith journey,
to make a difference in the world, and to bring the Good News to others.

This is no easy task and we in SFC, especially as leaders, must rise to the occasion and make
sure we are prepared and equipped not only for what lies before us but what also awaits us in the
future.
As leaders, we are the frontliners. Thus we not only lead the way but more importantly, lead by
example by being the first to live out the Christian culture of SFC and the teachings of our
Catholic faith.
The SFC leaders track aims to enrol, equip and empower SFCs for these important tasks and to
mold them as the future leaders of our community who are shining examples of both virtue and
servant leadership. As leaders we go through the Members Pastoral Formation Track as well as
a special Leaders Formation Track.

leadership are also given as well as different leadership and SFC program workshops

GUIDELINES FOR THE IMPLEMENTATION OF LEADERS TRACK

1. The Leaders Track consists of training modules aimed at forming and developing SFCs for
the different levels of service: Household Head, Unit Head, Chapter Head. These may be
conducted as weekends, individual teachings, or across several half- or whole-day sessions.
2. The HHT, UHT, and CHT begin with a one-day Orientation Workshop. The rest of the talks
may be given during the upper household or conducted as separate teachings given as 2hour, half-day, whole-day, or weekend sessions.
3. Pastoral formation is an important component in preparing and anointing leaders. Thus we
make sure that Household Heads, Unit Heads, and Chapter Heads undergo the necessary
formation as SFC members prior to taking on areas of service. These are the formation
weekends they should undergo before being assigned:
a. Household heads: Covenant Orientation Weekend (COW), Christian Character
Weekend (CCW), Facilitators Training, Evangelization Training, Tongues Workshop
b. Unit Heads: all Stage 1 Formation Weekends (COW, CCW, Mens/Womens
Weekend 1: Knights Tales/Princess Diaries), Christian Personal Relationships
Weekend, Mens and Womens Weekend 2: Intimacy Weekend v2011, and
Household Heads Training (HHT)
c. Chapter Heads: All Stage 1 and Stage 2 Formation Weekends, Ablaze Weekend,
HHT, and Unit Heads Training.
4. SEAL Weekend. This is conducted after the SFC International Conference, to be attended
by SFC Leaders ONLY (Household Heads and up). It is conducted on a big area level (by
sector/provincial/international region) by the following leaders:
a. For Metro Manila Missions: Sector Coordinators together with the Fulltime Sector
Mission Worker and the Sector Mission Volunteers
b. For Philippine Missions: Provincial Couple Coordinator together with the Provincial
Core Group
c. For International Missions: Area Couple Coordinators, Area Fulltime Workers, and
Area Mission Volunteers.
5. The SFC leader is technically still an SFC member. Thus, he/she must continue to undergo
the other formation weekends in the different stages of the Members Track while serving as
a Household, Unit, or Chapter Head.
