RCS FOR SULTZER RTA ENGINES

?) Moving manouvering lever 5.03 into position "RUN AHEAD" switches on the
following directional control valve.
-49 HD
?)Normal engine stop from Local Control panel is performed by:
-directional control valve 49HF controlled by manouvering level 5.07
?)directional control valve 53HI is charged with oil from reversing
servomotor5.01 in case of:
-change of timig angels has finished
?)break off start air when reahces cranking speed in bridge control is done by:
-switching off directional control valve 129 HA.
?) changing engine speed from the local control panel (rpm governor ..)is
possible by:
-changing pressure trough pressure control vale 15 HA.
?)swithcing off engine acceleration program is signaled by activation off
following lamps:
-load program cancelled
?) air cylinder 3.10 is vented during:
- changing control to emergency control (governor defective)
?) directional control valve 53HB switches off for pump during :
- discordance between engine revolution in relation to the setting revolution
in reversing control system.
?) directional control valve 19 HG switches off fuel pump during :
- reversing the engine from local control panel .
?) switching on 126 HB emergency stop caused:
- switching off control in control room and bridge
?) during slow turning the following directional control valve are switched on:
- 2.17, 2.18 and 212HA and 49 HA.

?) Moving manouvering lever 5.07 into position STOP causses:

- switching off bridge control station, control room station, RPM governor and
booster line blokage.
?) switching off start air when the engine is above start revolution is
performed by:
- switching off starting air distributor by directional control valve 129 HA.
?) by swithcing on directional control valve 29 D, the control is disconected:
- on bridge and control room.
?) switching on turning gear causses:
- air circuit vented from directional control valve 49 adn 130.
?) switching on directional control valve 38A and immediate engien stop
takes places when:
- pressure drops in air springs.
?) start set point lamp activation indicates that:
- engine reaches cranking speed.
?) changing control to local control takes places after:
- movin manouverin lever 3.12 into position engine control.
