HOW???
Engagement
Teacher need to engage with student in ENTIRE
LESSON (introduction, body, closure of lesson)
Limit lecture session less than 30 minutes, and make
some activity (Walls & Cather, 1987).
Why need engagement?
Focus and engage with lesson
Increase their motivation
Avoid student to being bored and ignored
Enthusiasm
Enthusiasm = strong feeling of active, interest on
something.
If teacher are very excited or enjoy in teaching,
student will excited to learn
Teacher genuinely shows their care towards student,
tend to gain student cooperation (Jones & Jones,
2010)
Comment
Agree with author point teacher not only good / expert in
knowledge subject matter, but need to be good in instructional
skill.
Relate with our course subject (Curriculum and Instruction)
we can applied these four aces in our microteaching task.
To fulfill need of PPPM (Pelan Pembangunan Pendidikan
Malaysia) teacher need to improve teaching skill as to
produce product (student) with high qualities.
CONCLUSION
In order to create effective learning
environment, teacher need to improve
their instructional skill, thus Malaysian
education will produce student with
complete aspect of intellectual, spiritual,
emotional and physical in future.
