Teaching style was denitely unique. There were many group presenta8ons that guided the discussion,
and the professor would chime in to help emphasize important points a<er we got to them ourselves.
The teacher style was very unique, but also very eec8ve. Not many teachers are willing to trust their
students to teach other students, but the presenta8ons in this class were helpful to understanding the
material. The class was set up more like a discussion which engaged more interac8on.
It was challenging work to make the paper concise, but it was very helpful to adapt to constraints of that
nature.
I really enjoyed the seDng. A small classroom promotes constant and lively discussions that helps
accelerate the learning process. The presenta8ons oered a way in which students are mo8vated to
actually learn about the course instead of dozing o in class.

The professor did an amazing job. He want way above and beyond. His style was intelligent and
personable. He put an incredible amount of 8me and eort into grading and giving us feedback that has
helped me to become a beSer writer and thinker. He was also humble and suppor8ve, while at the same
8me challenging us to be the best we could be.
Professor Posard has been one of my favorite teachers here at UMD. He challenged me in ways no one
else has and I have learned a lot from him. I have become a beSer writer even though this was not a
wri8ng class. I learned a great deal and I think this is partly because of his teaching style. He treated us
like equals and even though he helped me along the way, he was a strict grader. I enjoyed his Prezi
lectures a lot and thought they were more useful than PowerPoint.
The professor exceeded the usual amount of feedback, availability and detail in correc8ons that I have
experienced in a very long 8me. He is truly an excep8onal teacher and individual.
Surprisingly straighYorward for an online course. Good pace.

Marek did an excellent job on the two occasions he led class discussions. Extremely ar8culate and easy
to understand. His comments during regular class discussions were always 8mely and insighYul, helping
to deepen the conversa8on.
You could tell Marek took a genuine interest in the course and his lectures and comments during class
were very helpful in understanding the material. He also took 8me to provide personal feedback on
assignments and directed me towards resources that would help. All in all, one of the beSer teaching
assistants I have had throughout my four years at Maryland.
Marek might be the most helpful TA I've ever had, he addressed my concerns about the term paper
almost immediately and helped me narrow my topic to something manageable.
Marek was great! He was always early to class and chaDng with students. He was quick to reply to
emails and always had a helpful cri8que or hard-to-nd resource for my term paper.
