Before you can come up with the right research question, you need to choose an area which interests you, and before you can do this you need to spend
some time exploring some potential topics and building some background knowledge

Profound interest in the middle East

It was known to be one of the most defining
events of the 20th Century
Interested in the fact that the Shah was a fallen
leader, he fled Iran and was never to return
I am fascinated by the concept of revolution. The
fact that the peoples voice can change a nation.
As a result of this revolution, Iran became the
worlds first Islamic state.

I have been doing research into areas of interest.

I stumbled upon the Mexican Revolution and was
so interested by it. This could most certainly be a
topic that I pursue.
Interesting that nearly every major revolutionary
leader was assassinated.

has impacted on todays society
