Belief Statements

I believe that all students can learn and achieve at high levels.
I believe that I can lead our school community to assure that all students learn.
I believe that our school and our school district can raise achievement levels for all

students and close the racial achievement gap


I believe that education has power, and education changes lives.
I believe that I must lead with character, competence, humility and service.
I believe that I must be an active observer and participant in classrooms to be an

effective instructional leader.


I believe through collaborative work with my colleagues we can assure alignment and

cohesive implementation of our school districts initiatives.


I believe that early learning is essential to our education system, and early education

is the key to closing opportunities gaps.


I believe that we must be data driven in our decision making, repeatedly cycle

through a continuous improvement model and analyze our practices.


I believe that skills and practices of inquiry, innovation, creativity, collaboration and
problem-solving must be foundational learning strategies in our school.

Behaviors

I believe that all students will learn, and I will live that belief and lead that belief

within my school.
I will use student data to guide decisions in our school about goals, practices and

instruction.
I will work collaboratively with my colleagues to assure a high quality education for

all students.
I will be present in classrooms to observe teaching and learning to support teachers

and students.
I will have high expectations of myself and the staff I work with.
I will provide support and positive pressure for all staff members to assure a high

quality learning community for all students and families.


I will be results focused in our practice of curriculum, instruction and assessment.
I will communicate clearly and intentionally about our goals as a school.
