Overview

The Literacy Collaborative is a long-term data


driven professional development program
designed to provide a comprehensive, schoolwide and district-wide approach to literacy
instruction in the primary, intermediate, and
middle school grades.

The goal of this program is to raise the level


of achievement for all students.

change and include components related to:
Literacy learning and teaching
Data driven professional development
Assessment and research including action
research coaching
School and district based leadership
development

"Information literacy is an understanding
and a set of abilities enabling individuals
to recognize when information is needed
and have the capacity to locate, evaluate,
and use effectively the needed
information.
At the school level, this means working
together within the same
understandings, and perceptions.
