Special Experiences:
In two years I have taught the full gamut of my certification. My first year I taught first grade and
received high evaluation marks from the principal and superintendent. Due to my developed rapport with older
students through tutoring and coaching, and my skills with math and science, my second year I was moved to an
eighth grade self contained classroom. Furthermore, I have coached basketball and track for boys and girls at the
middle school level. In addition, I have participated in Saturday school tutoring for students struggling in
mathematics. Additionally, in my two years at Camden Frontier have shown high interest in my continued
education and have sent me to several professional development conferences, such as: Michigan Association for
Computer Related Technology in Learning (MACUL), Michigan Association of Middle School Educators
(MAMSE), Michigan Science Teacher Association (MSTA), Basketball Coaches Association of Michigan (BCAM),
and others.
At Adrian College, I participated in many different intramural sports programs, attended Michigan
Reading Association conference, attended both the Michigan Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation
and Dance, and the American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance conferences in
Michigan and Boston.
