Description
of
how
to
implement
in
the
class:
Students
will
be
asked
to
create
a
graphic
organizer
using
the
program
Inspiration.
The
graphic
organizer
will
help
students
learn
the
different
structures
and
functions
across
the
six
kingdoms
in
biology.
This
will
be
a
2-day
in-class
activity
using
the
computer
lab
or
school
laptops
that
will
introduce
students
to
the
six
kingdoms
of
biology.
Students
will
research
characteristics
and
examples
(found
locally)
of
each
kingdom,
and
then
use
Inspiration
to
create
their
graphic
organizer.
When
complete,
they
will
send
me
their
finished
organizers,
and
I
will
then
create
a
PowerPoint
to
present
their
work.
During
this
time,
as
a
class
we
will
discuss
the
key
characteristics
and
functions
unique
to
each
kingdom.
I
will
use
these
key
concepts
to
create
a
class
organizer.
Throughout
the
unit
students
will
have
opportunities
to
add
new
concepts
to
the
class
organizer.
The
finished
class
organizer
will
be
printed
out
and
given
to
each
student
as
a
tool
to
help
direct
their
studying.

this
activity.
The
technology
is
central
to
instruction
of
this
concept.
Students
will
also
be
creating
their
own
work
with
the
help
of
Inspiration.
The
teacher
is
just
supplying
a
guide
to
the
activity,
so
student
results
will
vary
with
content
and
creativity.
Students
will
also
be
building
on
this
activity
throughout
the
unit
as
they
create
their
own
study
guide.

The

students

to
create
their

from

BBPT
Activity:
The
lesson
concept
here
can
be
used
for
every
unit.
Students
will
introduce
themselves
to
the
content
by
making
a
graphic
organizer.
Then
the
class
and
I
will
build
upon
that
organizer
throughout
the
unit.
Students
will
then
be
given
the
master
organizer
as
a
tool
to
help
study.
