SYNOPSIS:
In your evaluation, you must be able to discuss who would distribute your film,
so you need to be aware of some directors that make coming of age films.
TASK;
Send some time looking into the work of one of the following.

John Hughes The Breakfast Club & Ferris Buellers Day Of


Jason Reitman Juno (Famous for opening sequences)
Greg Mottola Superbad and Advertureland

Things to think about;

Biography of the director


Do they have a particular style? Mention sound, music, mise-en-scene,
editing techniques that they always use.
Do they re-use actors/actresses?
Are the narratives similar?

Learning Comments
Think about whether there are any styles that you could use, sound efects or
uses of sound that you like, as well as ways they construct the narratives of their
film.
PRESENTATIONAL IDEAS:
Create a Voki introducing the director and then add extra information on the
blog.
GRADING:
A/A* - the analysis will be excellent. Terminology will be used extensively. Target
audiences will be discussed in detail making explicit links to opening sequences.
Interestingly presented with the creative use of ICT.
B/C the analysis will be good. Terminology will be used. Target audiences will
be identified with attempts to link this to opening sequences made.
D The analysis will be proficient. The use of terminology will have been
attempted. Target audience may be identified.
