Please b e informed, that you are delegated by me: Capt. MANOJ KUMAR, Master of
M/T High Spirit, to carry out following duty in addition to those prescribed in the
Companys Bridge Management Manual.

WHILE AT SEA

Responsible for the safety of navigation during your duty watch from 08:00 to
12:00 and from 20:00 to 24:00
Responsible, under supervision and supported by chief officer which will cooperate very closely to you, for the maintenance of Safety and antipollution
equipment/apparatus Safety training of the ships crew (on this matter you will
be supported by Ch. Officer, which will co-operate very closely to you)
Carried out familiarization and Basic Training for all the crew on board as
soon as they join the vessel (before vessel leaving the port or within 24hrs) and
during their service
Responsible for Lifesaving and Firefighting Appliances inspections and
maintenance Under chief officer guidance.
Responsible to Perform radio equipments routine test and check and keep
GMDSS Radio Log Book update with proper entry
Prepare Arrival ports documents and papers
Keep update and prepare requisition, as needed, for the Pharmacy.
Inform about the equipment subject to renew/inspect within next 30 days
Keep in order and tidy Hospital and infirmary
Keep medicines inventory update and expired medicines apart from others
Acquire a very good knowledge of SMS Manual
Follow and comply with SMS check lists

WHILE IN PORT STAY

On duty watch from 0600 to 1200 and from 1800 to 2400

Responsible to make ready to use all antipollution and safety equipments
Responsible for cargo and ballast handling as per chief officer schedule
Responsible for safety mooring of the vessel, for gangway, for safety of visitors
and to apply Security Measures as per SSO instructions
5. Acquire a very good knowledge of SMS Manual
6. Follow and comply with SMS check lists

Inform me for any defect you find or for any difficulty you may find to carry out
above duties.
