The year is 1865 and President Abraham Lincoln is in the process of restoring
faith in the United States and saving our country. He believes that in order to fix the
problems of the present, we must know and understand the past. Mr. President is
recruiting YOU and your colleagues to figure out why the Civil War happened and
ended as it did. President Abraham Lincoln wants the answer to the important
questions, Could the American Civil War have been prevented, and if so,
how? as well as "What was/were the major turning point(s) during the war
that led to a Union victory and why?" He plans to use this new found
information to mend the United States and lead us into a speedy reconstruction
period.
