Plan for New Jersey New Jersey State, we realized that we need to develop the
implement technology into our curriculum next years
In a digital world, students need to learn to use the tools to master the learning
skills that are essential to everyday life and workplace productivity. This
proficiency is known as ICT (information and communication technologies)
literacy, defined by the Program for International Student Assessment as the
interest, attitude and ability of individuals to appropriately use digital technology
and communication tools to access, manage, integrate and evaluate information;
construct new knowledge; and communicate with others in order to participate
effectively in society. This definition goes far beyond a narrow technical
competency, which is a relatively low-level skill, to including higher-level skills,
critical thinking and intelligent, creative and ethical use of technology. A

learning skills are needed to learn by the students to use digital technology and
communication tools.
Administrators, head of IT department and some core teachers of our school
visited other charter and public schools. They shared their observations and best
practices in the meetings.

Summary of the teachers' and administrators' current technology proficiency and

integration skills and needs for professional development.
1. Are administrators able to support teachers with the integration of
technology into daily curriculum?
Yes, administrators visit the classrooms to support the teachers and to be sure that
whether the technology is used by the teachers in the classes due to the fact
almost one million dollars have been spent for the new educational programs and
tools as all-in-one computers, smart boards in all classrooms, iPads for Study
Island and other programs, new chrome books for the PARCC test.
2. Do teachers have the classroom management strategies to work with the
amount of technology actually available in the classrooms?
Software Class Dojo is a wonderful program for classroom management.
Students each positive or negative behavior will be controlled by putting a check
to the related behavior or task whether they did or not. Another wonderful point
that parents can follow up their kids with the help of the system. For each bad or
good point that the student had, the system send a text message to the parent and
even teacher can send the pictures during kids class participations. Every month,

successful and well behaved students have been awarded.

professional development opportunities based on your LEA needs assessment data and
the Curriculum Component of the plan.
1. What professional learning will be available so teachers and administrators
can effectively use technology to assist with student assessment?
Teachers have been using the students assessments tools and programs with the
help of using their iPads, computers, smart boards etc. They have been
implementing Star Test, Study Island, benchmarks and especially from 3rd grade
PARCC Test for the State requirements. All teachers, especially the new ones
have been given trainings
2. What professional learning will be available so teachers and administrators
can make informed decisions using data to meet individual student academic
needs?

Education. Apple Education coaches and our schools department heads and
related teachers come together, meet regularly and they check the data results.
After the discussions, students academic needs are realized and the action plans
