The Art and Science

of Innovation and Improvement


Are you interested in building and enhancing your clinics aptitude for quality improvement? Do
you want to learn how to implement efficient and effective outcomes for your patients and your
healthcare staff?
Participating in the 12-month Art and Science of Innovation and Improvement (ASII)
professional development program hosted by AIM Alberta this year will put your QI goals in
reach.
The program includes:
A series of four three-day face-to-face workshops
Monthly online sessions that take place between the four workshops
A pre-work conference call on September 10, 2015 from 10-11:30 a.m. to prepare
participants for the first workshop
Workshops and online sessions provide an opportunity for participants to receive feedback on
their improvement project from ASII faculty and fellow participants.

Workshop Dates:
October 14-16, 2015 Edmonton
January 19-21, 2016 Calgary
April 5-7, 2016 Calgary
June 21-23, 2016 Edmonton

Fees and Enrollment


Due to the intensity of this program and the work on real improvement projects, class size is
limited to 30 participants. Applications are accepted immediately and you are encouraged to
complete and submit your application as soon as possible to be guaranteed a seat in the
program.
Once submitted, your application will be reviewed by ASII faculty. When it is accepted, a prework package will be provided to participants so you can begin preparing for the first workshop
date.
Cost: $5,995 per participant
This includes:
12 workshop days offered onsite
One copy of The Improvement Guide, 2nd edition
All program materials, tools and literature
Continental breakfasts and lunches on all workshop days
Monthly webinars
Coaching and mentorship calls
