Some say that God had done much for the person, and Jesus had done much for the person, therefore Jesus is God
On the face of it this might seem like a valid argument, however I will show that this interpretation is an incorrect
conclusion and that Luke 8:39 does NOT show Jesus to be God.
Whether you agree or disagree, in part or in whole, big or small, please email me any feedback to help improve this

Luke 8:39 Return home and tell how much God has done for you." So the man went away and told all over
town how much Jesus had done for him.
Jesus said God had done it, the man said Jesus had done it.
God did it through Jesus, or Jesus did it with Gods power, both are true.
God did the miracles through Jesus as he did through the disciples
Luke 5:24 But that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins...." He said to the
paralyzed man, "I tell you, get up, take your mat and go home."
25
Immediately he stood up in front of them, took what he had been lying on and went home praising God.
26
Everyone was amazed and gave praise to God. They were filled with awe and said, "We have seen
remarkable things today.
Vs24 Jesus has authority from God to forgive sins, which he proved by curing the paralyzed man.
Vs25 The man went home praising God
Vs26 Everyone gave praise to God for doing miracles through Jesus.
They said they had seen "remarkable things," they did not say they had seen "God."
John 14:10 The words I say to you are not just my own. Rather, it is the Father, living in
me, who is doing his work
Just as in all the miracles Jesus did, it was God working through him.

For these reasons nothing in Luke 8:39 says that Jesus is God
