To apply for licensure first a person needs to take an assessment to prove that they are above a certain
level and are eligible to obtain a license. For example, in the State of Ohio a person needs to follow the
steps below:

Sign into your SAFE account.

Click on ODE.CORE.

Select the UPDATE button to enter or correct your contact information including email on the
My Information page.

Use the drop-down menu at top right to return to the CORE dashboard.

Select APPLY to enter My Applications.


Find the license type that is correct for you.
Click on apply.
Write your information.
Submit your application.
You also receive an email when your application request is approved or denied.
