The sole purpose of a Literature Review is to show

WHAT information, theories, models are
already out there and relevant to your area of focus
Do as much research as you can!!
Use ONLY credible sources
Your information needs to LINK to your research
problem and title
Cover EVERY INCH of your research problem/title
Possibly identify any gaps or areas that could do
with further exploration
Do not simply copy and past make it unique

 After conduction your much needed research you

need to start the actual LitReview

To do this the following 3 steps need to be taken:

1. Begin with an appropriate introduction which
clearly outlines the purpose of your LitReview
and HOW it connects to your own research
2. In your body you will need to EXPAND on the
information that you found : (1) evaluate their
value, (2) show similarities between the Lit and
your own work, (3) highlight potential gaps or
missing information and (4) how your research
hopes to build on/contribute to the area of study
3. You should end with a STRONG conclusion where
you summarise ALL the main points and link your
LitReview to your study

Conceptualisation refers to the refinement

and specification of abstract concepts to
create meanings specific to your area of study
In other words, all the concepts central to
your study
It will assist people to understand what key
terms refer to in your study
Do not JUST provide a dictionary definition
Also provide the context of the word and how
the word is used in your study
