PURPOSE OF THIS INTERNSHIP: To acquire knowledge on the behavioral development of children and to gain an understanding of the role of a public health organization. PROFESSIONAL GOALS/OBJECTIVES DURING THE INTERNSHIP: 1) By the end of my internship, I will have enough knowledge on each stage of child development that I will be able to describe three key developmental skills at each stage. 1 will obtain this knowledge by attending at least 5 special events pertaining to child development. 2) By the end of week 10, I will be able to perform each procedure without looking at the procedural steps more than two times. 3) By the end of the semester, I will have be able to explain in detail the goals and the services provided at Family Futures : a. By attending three community events by the end of the semester b. By creating a Connections flow chart by the end of week 4 c. By memorizing the acronyms used by the end of week 8 d.
