INTRODUCTION
Below are the most common causes of Death in Australia. They have been identified by the
government as a National Health Priority Area. The diagram below matches them up to
associated Risk Factors.

This assignment investigates one of the above National Health Priority Areas (NHPAs) and
investigates strategies used by the government and non-government bodies to lower the
prevalence of them in Australian Society.
OUTCOME STATEMENTS Level 10
They analyse the positive and negative health outcomes of a range of personal behaviors
and community actions.

They identify the health services and products provided by government and non-government
bodies and analyse how these can be used to support the health needs of young people.
