Her research experience includes measuring heavy metals in Cape Fear river water as part of the Cape Fear Community College ChemTech team. She also participated in the Duke TIP program studying the human body at Appalachian State University. Her skills include excellent communication, writing, and math abilities as well as being an easygoing and excellent team worker. Her extracurricular activities include being on the Hoggard tennis team and winning awards for piano playing.
