I believe that all students have the ability to succeed, and in order to be successful they must be a part of a safe
community of learners. Because each learner is unique, I value differentiating instruction and assessment and allowing
students guided choices in the classroom to increase feelings of ownership over their education. I provide clear
expectations to students through modeling and guided instruction. Through the use of technology I work to extend the
learning process outside of the classroom. I take pride in the fact that my classroom is a place in which students live
learning through authentic experiences.
