Indications:

It is used to prevent conditions of low calcium and vitamin D. This medicine may be used for other purposes; ask your health
care provider or pharmacist if you have questions.

Contraindications:

Adverse reactions:
Side effects that you should report to your doctor or health care professional as soon as possible: allergic reactions like skin
rash, itching or hives, swelling of the face, lips, or tongue confusion dry mouth high blood pressure increased hunger or
thirst increased urination irregular heartbeat metallic taste muscle or bone pain pain when urinating seizure unusually
weak or tired weight loss Side effects that usually do not require medical attention (report to your doctor or health care
professional if they continue or are bothersome): constipation diarrhea headache loss of appetite nausea, vomiting
stomach upset

Interactions:
Do not take this medicine with any of the following medications: ammonium chloride methenamine This medicine may also
interact with the following medications: antibiotics like ciprofloxacin, gatifloxacin, tetracycline captopril delavirdine diuretics
gabapentin iron supplements medicines for fungal infections like ketoconazole and itraconazole medicines for seizures like
ethotoin and phenytoin mineral oil mycophenolate other vitamins with calcium, vitamin D, or minerals quinidine
rosuvastatin sucralfate thyroid medicine

Warnings:
your doctor needs to know if you have any of these conditions: constipation dehydration heart disease high level of calcium
or vitamin D in the blood high level of phosphate in the blood kidney disease kidney stones liver disease parathyroid
disease sarcoidosis stomach ulcer or obstruction an unusual or allergic reaction to calcium, vitamin D, tartrazine dye, other
medicines, foods, dyes, or preservatives pregnant or trying to get pregnant breast-feeding
