Welcome to Sra. Raupps advisory! As the name applies, this class is a place for you to receive
help from Sra. Raupp every day to have the best academic year possible. In order to ensure a
positive environment for studying and completing work, the following behavioral
expectations will be in place each day:
Come to advisory prepared to work for the full class period. Use this time to complete
homework, study for upcoming tests/quizzes, and talk with Sra. Raupp about grades and study
skills.
Have your assignment notebook filled out, EVERY DAY, at the beginning of advisory to be
checked by Sra. Raupp and to lead the discussion about how and what you are doing in your
classes. If you do not have your assignment notebook filled out 6 days, you will be issued a
detention.
If you do not have ANY homework or upcoming tests/quizzes, you are allowed to read silently
for the advisory period.
If you do not come prepared to advisory and need to return to your locker, you will receive a
tardy for that class period. After 3 tardies you will be issued a lunch detention. After 6 you will
receive a morning detention.
Minimal, quiet conversations are allowed if you are working with another student to better
understand a concept or if we are playing a review game for an upcoming exam.
If you have a scheduled meeting with another teacher during advisory, I will need to see a
signed pass from that teacher in your assignment notebook prior to leaving.
I will sign passes for the bathroom; HOWEVER, I will be keeping track of your bathroom usage
during advisory and we will have a discussion if it gets out of hand.
What to expect:
Mondays- every Monday you will check your grades online and record your current grade and any
missing assignments. You can expect Sra. Raupp to congratulate you and award you for grades C and
above. Ds and Fs are not tolerated and a plan will be set up for improving those grades.
