DREAMMAKERS

Social Entrepreneurship Plan

Section 1: Client Overview

The organization we are working with is New Hope for Kids. Our contact person through
the organization is Rosie Wilder. New Hope for Kids has two different programs. The Center for
Grieving Children, which provides support to kids and their families dealing with the death of a
loved one. Their other program is Childrens Wish, which is the program we will be working with.
Childrens Wish grants wishes to children with life threatening illnesses. Our New Hope child is
a fourteen year old boy named Enrique. New Hope reaches out to kids aged 3 to 18 in the
Central Florida area and is independently owned. Since the foundations beginning in 1985
more than 1200 wishes have been granted. New Hope not only works to raise money to fund
the expense of a childs wish, but also provides support to the child and the childs family. This
organization follows up with how the children are doing to ensure a lasting relationship with the
children and their families. New Hopes mission is to provide specialized support to the children
and families grieving the loss of a loved one and grants wishes to children with life threatening
illnesses in Central Florida. New hope hosts nine annual family events to provide a fun time and
encouragement to the families along with one fulfilling wish and continual support.
Section 2: Current Problem
SMART GOAL: The Dream makers will raise 2000 dollars for a Disney cruise for
Enrique and his family by March 30 through fundraising and donations.
The Dream Makers will grant Enriques dream of going on a Disney Cruise this year.
Making this dream a reality for Enrique will provide an emotional experience and joy that he has
never had the opportunity to enjoy before due to his familys financial troubles. These memories
are sure to stay in his mind for the rest of his life and is sure to enrich the bond between him
and his family. Even more so, The Dream Makers will be sending Enrique some of his
immediate family to Disney World to share a meal with Mickey Mouse. Our mission is to leave a
lasting impression on Enriques life by granting his wish and making his dream come true, thus
enhancing his quality of life.
