    Priorities of Wage Attachments

    As a rule, withholding of wage attachments are prioritized as per the order given
    below:1. Bankruptcy (high priority over other claims)
    2. Federal Tax Levy or Child Support Order (whichever delivered first)
    3. Creditors, Student Loan or Federal Administrative Wage
    Garnishments

    There is no limit on the number of garnishment received on an employee.

    Maximum deductions that can be made on garnishment is the lesser of the:


    o 25% of disposable earnings for the week (or)
    o Excess of weekly disposable earnings over 30 times of the federal
    minimum wage rate.
