THE STARRY NIGHT

The Starry Night is painted by Vincent van Gogh. It looks like a pastel, but
actually it is an oil on canvas. He painted it in 1889 and was inspired by
the view of his window to a an idealized village. The whole painting is
painted mostly in dark blue shades. The backround on the top is darker
than that one on the bottom. Thats because the sun is rising. There are
few star in the sky and each of them has painted a round shine. The
spirals between the stars look like a winter wind. The rest is as dark as
there is still night. The village is pretty small and full of trees, it is also
surrounded by hills. In the foreground we can see really high dark trees,
propably poplars, blowing in the wind. This is one of my favourite
paintings. I can not say why I like it, it just makes really good impression.
Vincent van Gogh did a good job.
