All teachers at Ligon will be using Class Dojo to
encourage and keep track of positive student
behavior. Students can earn points for following
ROAR expectations throughout the school day. Any
staff member will be able to reward Dojo points to
all students.
Students will be able to use their Dojo points to
purchase various small prizes in the cafeteria
during their lunch period. Larger prizes will be
advertised throughout the year for students to work
toward as well.
Discipline
When students choose disobey the classroom
expectations, they will have a series of disciplinary
actions. The typical discipline steps for
noncompliance and disrespect include:
1. Warning
2. REFOCUS- a reflection sheet completed in a
separate classroom plus a phone call home
3. Teacher/Student Conference
4. Referral to Administrator
All steps will be documented in an online system.
**If disciplinary infractions are more serious, direct
referral to an administrator will be made**
