US IMMIGRATION 1890-1920 WEBQUEST INSTRUCTIONS

Please follow each of these steps in order to complete this assignment.

1. Log in to your computer with your student ID and password.

2. Open Firefox and go to to

3. Click on “view in frames.” As you do the next steps, be sure to read the
instructions at the top of your computer screen.

4. Take the pre-test (site 1). Don’t worry if you do not know the answers – it
will not be graded.

5. Use the Scholastic Ellis Island Tour (site 2) to complete your Ellis Island
Study Guide sheet.

6. After you finish your Ellis Island Study Guide, take the post-test (site 3).
This will count for a grade, so take your time and read carefully.

7. Use sites 4, 5, 6 and 7 to fill your Venn Diagram sheet with information
about Ellis Island and Angel Island.

8. Hand in your Ellis Island Study Guide and your Venn Diagram. If you finish
early, you may continue to browse sites 2, 4, 5, 6 and 7, you may read, or
you may do homework. No videogames, websurfing or email!
