GRADE 8B DALMENY HIGH SCHOOL

2015/2016
Dear Students and Families,
Welcome to Grade 8B! Im excited about the opportunity to get to know you, and
Im looking forward to being your homeroom teacher at Dalmeny High School. I will
be teaching you Science this year! I am available any scheduled noon hours and
after school for assistance if you require it. I will also be teaching Grade 7 Science,
Grade 9 Math and Physics 30 as well as coaching the Junior Girls Volleyball team.
I am sending home some forms for you to please fill out for us. We ask that all the
forms come back to us by Friday, September 4th, 2015. Not all students are
given permission to leave the school grounds so that form is optional. Also, you can
change your mind at any time regarding giving or rescinding that permission. You
can decide to pay for the Christmas banquet at a later time if you are unsure of your
holiday plans this early in the year!
On Friday, September 11th we will have our picture day. As other dates approach
they will be posted on the calendar in our classroom. We will be starting SRC, WE
Day club, volleyball, and cross-country right away so students will need to listen to
the announcements to find out about meetings, try-outs and practices. Some of
this information may come home via email to you as well. Our first interview date is
set for the evening of October 14th. If you wish to look ahead at other dates on the
school year calendar its posted on the school division website at www.spiritsd.ca.
Our day in lieu for interviews is likely October 9th, so there will be no school that
day.
If you do have any questions or concerns, or if you would like to schedule a
conference, you can contact me through the office at Dalmeny High School at (306)
254-2036 or by email at angela.yedersberger@spiritsd.ca. If I am not available,
leave a message and I will get back to you as soon as possible.
