    I was able to update most of the reading levels on Raz-Kids. Please have your child use as much as possible.
    It works on iPads too!

    Language Arts:
    We read The Hat and learned about story elements. When reading fiction, practice vocabulary such as
    author, illustrator, character, setting, problem and solution.
    We are still working on our Narrative stories and will be adding temporal words first, next and last.
    We learned that a sentence needs to start with a capital letter.
    Math:
    We are learning about number partners, number mountains and stair steps
    Students worked on partners for 7, 8 and 9
    Students learned the game Top-It and practiced facts playing Math Bingo on iPads.
    All concepts are in the math glossary that was shared at Curriculum Night.
    Social Studies/Science
    We talked about sharing, listening, talking and taking turns to help us get along in school.
    We took the Chapter 1 assessment. Look for it coming home next week.
    Vocabulary: Cooperation
    Technology
    We learned to log into Raz-Kids on the laptops and listened to some books.
