SYNOPSIS:

STRUCTURAL ANALYSIS 1 equips students with


knowledge of facts and basic principles in analyzing the
reactions, bending moments and shear forces for
indeterminate beams using the superposition method,
slope deflection method and moment distribution methods.
It also covers the Euler Theory regarding the buckling load
for slender column.

superposition method of solving the
indeterminate beam with one degree of
indeterminacy using Macaulay method. The lab
work covers the determination of reactions and
fixed end moments for propped cantilever
subjected to point loads and distributed loads.
