If slaughterhouses had glass walls,
¥ everyone would be a vegetarian.
About Us
Toronto Chicken Save, a sister organization of Toronto
Pig Save, is a grassroots group of concerned, caring
and compassionate individuals whose mission it is to
“make slaughterhouses have glass walls.”
Our Goal and Vision
TCS will organize regular vigils at Toronto area poultry
slaughterhouses to awaken the public to the atrocities
taking place behind the walls and barbed-wire fences
of these killing factories.
These include Brampton based Maple Lodge farms,
Canada's largest chicken slaughterhouse, killing
500,000 birds daily and Toronto based Maple Leaf who
kill 60,000 birds daily.
We will encourage people to try vegan, protect the
environment, and support local farm sanctuaries.
Toronto Chicken Save calls for a just transition for
workers as we adjust our food economy to a local,
organic, and whole grain plant-based diet.
