Relationships are tricky to navigate,
even in the church
 “In your relationships with one
another, have the same attitude of
mind Christ Jesus had.”
(Philippians 2:5)
Work for oneness
with one another
Overcome differences by focusing
on commonalities
 In Common In Christ
(Philippians 2:1-2)

Encouragement from unity in Christ
✔
Comfort from his love
✔
Sharing in the Spirit
✔
Tenderness and compassion for each other
✔
Like-mindedness, one in love, spirit, and mind
Look to the interests of others first
Our needs are met when we meet
the needs of others
 Philippians 2:3-4

“Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain

conceit. Rather, in humility value others above
yourselves, not looking to your own interests
but each of you to the interests of the others.”
Become obedient through service
Jesus showed us that exaltation comes
only after obedience
 Spiritual success comes only
through obediently serving others
