PUSS IN BOOTS
There once lived a poor boy who had a talking cat.

One day, the cat said, Don't worry, Master, I'll get some money
for you. Give me a hat, a pair of boots and a bag.
The boy gave the cat all those things.
The cat put on his hat and a new pair of boots and went out into
the garden. He picked up some carrots and put them in the bag.

Puss the cat put his bag down with its

mouth wide open near a rabbit's hole.
Smelling the fresh carrots, a rabbit jumped
into the bag to eat it. Puss saw the rabbit and
quickly jumped and tied the strings of the bag.

Puss caught the fat rabbit and

went to the king. Your Majesty,
I have a gift for you, the Prince of
Carabas.
The king accepted the gift with
pleasure.
One day, Puss heard that the king

was going for a walk in the forest. Puss
told his master, I want you to go and
swim in the river in the forest.
As soon as he was in the water,
Puss carefully hid his clothes.

After some time, Puss saw the king's carriage coming near the
river. He shouted, Help! Help! My master Prince of Carabas is
drowning!
The king heard that and sent his men to save him.
When he saw that the
boy had no clothes, the
king commanded his
servants to get him the
finest clothes to wear.
When the boy wore
the royal clothes, he
looked like a real prince.
Puss introduced the miller's
son to the king graciously.
The king was very impressed and thought that this young man
would become a good husband for his daughter and asked, Will you
marry my daughter?
Soon the miller's son and the Princess got married, thanks to
clever Puss in Boots. All lived happily for the rest of their days.
