SKILL: Soccer Kick

VISUAL DESCRIPTION:
The student assumes ready position. Feet shoulder width apart with
ball in front of them with their eyes on target. The student will step with his
or her non-dominant foot and plant their foot next to the ball. The student
will then make contact with the ball with his or her instep of the dominant
foot targeting the center of the ball. The student will then follow through
with the kicking foot once the ball is contacted.

DRILLS/ACTIVITIES TO DEVELOP THE SKILL1. Partner passes
The students will kick the ball to one another back and forth at
different distances.
Equipment needs: Soccer balls for each student
2. Soccer bowling
The students will play a game of bowling, but instead of using
their hands and a bowling ball, the students will use a soccer ball
and they will kick the ball toward the pins.
Equipment needs: Soccer balls for each student, and bowling pins
(enough for 10 lanes).
