According to the surveys, approx. 50 percent of Pakistan population live in
rural areas and belongs to the agriculture or 60 percent of them are illiterate .Due to the poor infrastructure these areas are highly affected with health problems due to the absence of sound health facilities. Unmet need: Telesehat point of view toward rural areas is a very effective concept or a scalable business model and I think a kind of innovative service up to extent. Because they righty recognize an unmet need of rural areas affected population. Right kind of technology and R&D role: According to the whole scenario, R&D role is very aggressive to choose the right kind of technology because of an infrastructure needed to establish a business. They develop standard operating procedures (SOP) followed by the paramedic staff with respect to the assistance given by the doctors. The main aspect is use of technology and a user interface that help both patient and doctors. Challenges: One of the biggest challenge is awareness among the rural population about the tele-Sehat , they can also attain economy of scope with the collaboration among US-AID program to establish grounds of education about health issues . I think first they have to establish ground for the financial support in order to take some strategic action like if they go for entrepreneur option there is a chance of high financialcrisk involvement if an idea flops . All of these partnership options pertain a risk that can damage a tele-sehat image.
