PRIMARY AIRFLOW.

blades and is directed into a booster (LPC). The flow path then

The compressor stator changes the air velocity produced

by the rotor into pressure. The front case is made up of two
halves with horizontal split-line flanges that are machined as a
matched set from a steel forging.

The combustion section is located between the High Pressure
Compressor (HPC) and the Low Pressure Turbine (LPT). Air
from the HPC is mixed with fuel, supplied by 20 fuel nozzles.
