What is Ij?

Ij = ijA where A = active electrode area on each face (immersed)

ij = current density
Since ij is an intensive variable, current density over entire tank is the same as current
density over any one electrode, i.e. ij = itank
Therefore, Ij = 230 A/m^3(0.9)(1.2)m^2/face = 248.4 A/face
Therefore, Itank = 248.4 A/face (80 face/tank) = 19872 A/tank
Not all of the current is used for Pb plating.
Therefore |I_PB| = epsPb/100 Itank = 0.93*19872A/tank = 18480.96 A/tank.
dNpb/dt = |IPb|/2F = 18480.96A/tank /(2*96485.31 C/mol)
= 0.0958 Amol/C-tank 1C = 1A-s
= 0.0958 (mol/s)/tank) = 1714.4 kg/day/tank
Therefore # of tanks required to increase production rate by 30,000 kg/day
= 30000/1714.4 = 17.5 tanks ~= 18
