The Island of Robtopia

By: Robert Richmond

History of Island
Robtopia was first explored by Spanish explorers in
the 1600s. Sir Juan Roberto first recorded his discovery in
his journal in 1609 when he wrote that it was a beautiful
place composed of several islands and very beautiful
beaches. He named it Robtopia, after his father,
Umberto Roberto. The first persons to live on the Islands
were Aborigines from the northwest coast of what is now
Australia. These early travelers came there in search of
warmer climate and a better source of fresh water.
Today, Robtopia is a thriving tourist destination whose
capital, San Juan, is a modern city with all the
conveniences of larger cities.

How Geography Affected Growth and

Development of Robtopia
Since Robtopia is an island, its geography has affected
every part of its growth and development. In the early
days, nobody could come to the island without a long trip
on a sailing ship. This limited the growth and
development. However, with modern times, there has
been a huge increase in visitors due to the nice tourism
industry and beautiful locations that can be enjoyed on
the beaches and inside the island. The export of coconut
milk and bananas also has caused growth and investment
in the island and this has made more resorts for tourists.
