By: Rachel Gosewisch

1. Use the Internet to find a Technology current event

article
Google is Unveiling New Treats-Like Its Next Nexus Device-On September
th

29 .

2. Write a paragraph summarizing the article. (5 points)

I read the article, Google is Unveiling New Treats-Like Its Next Nexus DeviceOn September 29th. From this article I learned that there is a big press conference
on September 29, 2015 that will be the first major event with the new CEO (Sundar
Pichai) of Google. He has made some major changes to the company and there will
be many wondering how he will handle his new position. At this event we could see
the unveiling of the next Nexus device, LG and Huawei will be building different
sized phones under the Nexus brand, as well as the launch of the new Android M.
This is a big event that will be very important to Google.

3. Find two additional Internet articles on the same topic.

(4 points)
Article 1- Android 6.0 Marshmallow Update Rumored for Samsung Galaxy
Note 5, S6, S6 Edge, S6
Edge+. Ahead of Sept. 29 Release
Article 2- Android Marshmallow release date, news and features
List keywords
Huawei
Sundar Pichai
Android Marshmallow
Search engines used
Google
Bing
Compare the results from the two searches
Of the two search engines used I like Google better. I believe that Google
is easy to navigate. If you use Chrome you only have to type keywords
into the www. Section and it searches right from there. On main results
page it gives you the basic information on the right-hand side. Also on the
main page you can get web searches, picture searches, watch videos
related to the subject, news stories and many other options.

4. TRAAP your sources. (8 points)

Evaluate one Internet article you found in step 3 by answering the following

Relevance related to my search of Android Marshmallow
Authority Pavithra Ravinavel has written many other articles on the
subject of Android devices
Accurate other sites and authors have written on same subject as
Pavithra Ravinavel and the information was the same.
Purpose written to inform, no real bias from what I read.

5. Find two scholarly journal articles on the same topic

from the CCBC library databases. (4 points)
Keywords
Google Android
Article 1- Googles Next Version of Android is Called Marshmallow
Article 2- Android M is for Marshmallow
Database
Pro Quest-Business databases-ABI/INFORM Complete
I used this database because the description said, international coverage of
companies and business trends around the world.

6. Compare the Internet and Journal articles. (5 points)

All of the articles basically had the same information. They were all talking about
what was going
to happen on Sept 29th with the big conference coming up and
what the next big release is, Android M or Marshmallow. In my opinion the articles
from the Internet search were better. To me the internet is just easier to use. Just
type in the keyword and it brings up the most recent and most relevant articles. The
journals may be more authentic but are more out of date.

7. Cite all five sources in APA or MLA format. (10 points)

Specify which format you are using.- MLA
