Its been weeks since we had our observation in Padre Garcia National High

School, and here we are again staying in this school once again.
August 4, 2015. I came to school at exactly 6:20 in the morning. Since our
cooperating teacher will arrive at 9:00, we came up to the idea of helping some students
of Grade 7 in sweeping the ground. During this moment, I feel like Im back with my high
school life. Standing and cleaning the same ground that I used to clean way back then.
After the cleaning session, we stayed in the TLE Quarters, waiting for other
teachers and of course our cooperating teacher. We greeted all the teachers that pass
by in the canteen.
9:30 am, it is the schedule of the recess of Grade 7 & 8. So what we did is, we
helped in the canteen. Maam Lea, a teacher in TLE as well as the canteen manager is
very much happy that we helped them. Because according to her, it is really difficult for
them to accompany hundreds of students during recess and lunch breaks, because
they are only 3 teachers who sell in the canteen.
After we helped in the canteen, we take our break and have our merienda. This
was also the exact time of arrival of our cooperating teacher. We headed to the Grade
8- Sta. Ana, the first class of Maam Irene. Just what is expected, students of this
section greeted us, and we greeted back. But then, Maam Irene told us that she forgot
her laptop, thats why she needs to go home and get it. She asked us if it is okay to us
to stay in this section for a while and be her eye in this section, and we said yes. But
before she goes, she told her students to make a pointer to review for their incoming
examination in Thursday, and they did listened to Maam Irene.
When Maam Irene leaves the classroom, the students started to make noises.
So what we did is to tell them to keep quiet. I told them that if they didnt keep quiet, i
will put deductions on their pointers, so they did. And then I remember that they need to
pay for their test papers to be use tomorrow for their Summative Test. While they are
busy in making their own pointers, I collect 5.00 for each of them and then I remit the

money to their class treasurer. Before its time already, Nicole announced to the class
especially to those who are not yet done with their pointers that be sure to submit their
pointers before 3:45, because that is what Maam Irene instructed to us. And then we
headed downstairs.
In all sections of Grade 8, wherein Maam Irene had her schedule, we just told
them to make pointers, and after that we will collect it. The story goes like that.
When we collected all the pointers of Grade 8- Sta. Ana, Grade 8-Sampaguita,
Grade 8-Rosal, and last but not the least Grade 8-Sunflower, we checked their pointers
and give corresponding points for that with the use of the rubrics that Maam Irene had
prepared. After that we are now ready to go. Maam Irene signed our DTR, and we
parted our ways.
And thats what constituted my day.

Wednesday. August 5, 2015. I arrived in Padre Garcia National High School at

exactly 6:10 am. I waited for my friend, Nicole in front of the principals office. When she
arrived, we headed to the TLE Quarters so that we can put our things there. Then we
helped in cleaning the canteen. We got the broomstick there, and started sweeping the
ground.
After that, we continued our unfinished work yesterday, which is the checking of
pointers. Nicole and I, decided to divide the four sections into two. I am going to check
the pointers of the Grade 8- Rosal and Grade 8- Sunflower, while she will be the one to
check the pointers of Grade 8- Sta. Ana and Grade 8- Sampaguita. With the given
rubrics, we gave them grades which correspond to the number of pages they made.
After that, we record their names and their points in a clean sheet of yellow paper.
When we finished that, Nicole helped in selling goods in the canteen, while I am busy in
dealing with the students who buy buko and mineral water, which is also sold in the
canteen, because the teachers who were assigned in that task were busy with their
paper works.
Then, Maam Irene arrived. She pleased us to staple the test papers that later on
will be taken by her students. This will served as their review test for their upcoming
examination tomorrow. After this, we also helped Maam Badeth, a teacher of Filipino in
stapling her test papers. It was already 11:00 when we finished it.
Maam Irene told us that if we already need to go, we will just give our DTR to her
so that she can sign it. And since its already 11:10 we handed her our DTR, so she
signed it. Then she said goodbye and take care to us, and we politely thank her.
