What is Meiosis?
Meiosis is the reproduction of sex cells when the cell Goes through
prophase 1, metaphase 1, anaphase 1, telophase 1, prophase 2,
metaphase 2, anaphase 2, and telophase 2.

When does meiosis occur?


Meiosis occurs in diploid cells. The chromosomes duplicate once, and
through two successive divisions, four haploid cells are produced,
each with half the chromosome number of the parental cell. Meiosis
occurs only in sexually reproducing organisms.

Why does Meiosis occur?


Meiosis occurs to reproduce sex cells in living organisms.
