The Lunar Eclipse

Terry Fox Run

by: Signa Chiguichon
The Terry Fox run. It
is a day where we all
honor a very special
man: Terry Fox. He
walked almost all
over
Canada.
Now every year Canada honors his kindness by continuing
his dream of

conquering cancer.
And for his kindness he was put on
a loonie in 2005.

On October 1 this
year,
Seneca Trail
held our own Terry
Fox Run in honour of
Terry.

A lunar eclipse has just

happened September 27
2015 at 9:30 pm! What is an
eclipse exactly? Its when
the earth goes in front of the
moon and if you look up at
the night sky, you can see
the Earths shadow going
across the moon. So, you

cant see the moon. It

happened in 1982, and
wont happen again until
2033! Thats 18 years from
now! Do you know how it
happens? It happens because the moon reflects
the suns light so it can
shine. When the Earth

blocks the suns light,

you cant see the
moon. Its only because the earth orbits
and rotates around the
sun. So stay tuned for
the next eclipse!
