Spanish Perfect Tense

It is formed with the correct form of haber + past participle. Some past
participles are irregular though. This tense is used for a past event with
an effect on the present as in English (I have eaten the apple so now it
is gone) and is very rarely used in Latin America, the preterite is
preferred.
