AVEVA Solutions confirms that the software product named in this Quality Note has been developed and
tested in accordance with the companys KEYSTONE lifecycle processes and, unless otherwise noted
hereunder, conforms to the specifications as described in the product documentation.
EXCEPTIONS
There is a defect in the functioning of a License Server Lists: if all the licenses on the first license server in
the list are in use, Flexman will not look for licenses in the second and subsequent servers in the list even if
licenses are available. However, if the first license service has actually failed then Flexman will use the next
working service in the list.
There is a defect in the functioning of 3 Redundant Server configurations in the version of FLEXlm we are
using. If the main server fails, a second server will take over but the original server does not rejoin the
quorum when it is restarted. This therefore leaves the configuration vulnerable to a second fault until all
three license services have been restarted and a quorum re-established.

TESTING PROGRAMME
The new flexmanconfig.exe tool has been successfully used within AVEVAs development offices for over a
month on a range of machines, including a locked-down machine on which access to the Registy is not
permitted, and has already been used to diagnose a number of problems at customer sites.
The Flexman3.1.SP1 installer has been though four iterations of testing and refinement, using machines that
have previously had Flexman3.1 installed as well as completely new installations.
