Introduction
Linear Control Systems is a basic course and an introduction to Control Systems. A
project in this course is compulsory to inculcate the basics of this course in the minds
of the course students.
Use the knowledge that you have gained in this course to design and implement
your ideas on a problem that has been assigned to you.

Objective
To study, understand, design, implement, and fabricate a control system for the
assigned problem.
Students of this course may only choose from the list of projects provided to the
students.
List of possible project is as follows:

1. Analogue implementation to control Beam-Ball Balance.

2. Analogue implementation for a self-balancing bot.
3. Analogue implementation for an iron ball Magnetic Levitation plant.

List of deliverables for your semester project in your final week of study:
a) Mathematical model of the system in frequency domain (transfer
function/matrix) and time domain (state space). Your system
parameters/model must match that of your actual system.
b) Two controllers are to be implemented on your selected plant. Namely; PID
controller and state space control.
c) Simulations of both the controllers in Simulink.
d) Implementation of both the controllers in hardware to control your plant.
e) Controller responses and design parameters to be achieved in your project
should be clearly defined in your project proposals.

Note:
1. Your project will not be accepted if you fail to give proposal on time.
2. Be concise and to the point while writing the report.

3. ABSOLUTLY no relief will be given if plagiarism is detected , Any part copied (except
for data from data sheets) from internet or from another groups report will result
in ABSOLUTE ZERO in both groups project and strict measures will be taken against
the groups found guilty. Saving your work from another is your own responsibility.

NO EXCUSE ON CHEATING.
